The funnel trap contains a European tarnished plant bug specific pheromone lure to attract bugs. This pheromone is a natural scent produced by female bugs to attract a male mate.

Once bugs are attracted to the trap, they will fall down the funnel and drown in the water added to the base.

Pack contains everything needed to monitor European tarnished plant bug for up to 6 weeks.

Suitable for use in any crop where European tarnished plant bug is a problem.

The trap is designed to monitor adult activity which then allows improved application timing of plant protection products. The European tarnished plant bug (Lygus rugulipennis) trap should be setup all year round, depending on expected risk period of the pest to the crop.

The trap should be placed within the crop area at the same height as the crop.

Once setup, the trap should be checked once or twice a week and the number of caught adults recorded. After recording trapped numbers during scouting, dead insects should be removed from the base of the funnel to improve future catches and reduce chance of miscounting in following assessments.

Do not open foil sachet until you want to use the attractant lure. Until use, store unopened lures in a freezer.
