Looks like plastic, works like plastic, but made from plants.

Same flexibility and strength advantages as plastic (PVC) spiral tree guards, with the advantage of being better for the environment.

Protect the investment of newly transplanted trees, vines and hedging from herbivore feeding, weather, chemical drift or accidental mechanical damage..

Made from PLA (polylactic acid) from corn starch, giving a lower environmental footprint of manufacturing compared to petroleum derived plastic tree guards.

Olive green colour enables BioSpirals to blend into the surroundings to subtly support new plant growth without covering the landscape in shiny plastic.

Reduce labour costs, the biodegradable BioSpirals can be left in situ to breakdown into carbon dioxide and water.

60 cm high BioSpirals are commonly used to protect against shorter grazing animals such as rabbits and small deer. Note: A larger 75cm BioSpiral model is available to protect larger plants or against larger herbivores such as hares and larger deer species.

BioSpirals are 60 cm high, designed to be used on tree, vine or hedging which is initially shorter than this.

BioSpirals are a subtle olie green colour, designed to blend into the environment.

A cane should be used (not supplied) to support the BioSpiral around the transplanted tree, vine or hedging. The cane should be inserted into the soil 2 cm from the stem, the BioSpiral should then be wrapped around the cane and stem from the bottom upwards.

The plant is encouraged to grow vertically towards the light. As the plant grows the BioSpiral will uncoil so to not inhibit plant growth and preventing strangling the plant.
